2022 North Asia Language and Culture Study Tour
The North Asia CAPE is offering up to fifteen high school students of Chinese, Japanese, or Korean languages the opportunity to participate in a North Asia language and culture study tour.
Fully funded, this tour will be held mid-to-late September taking place domestically over four nights and five days in three locations – Dunedin, Wellington, and Auckland.
This tour offers students the opportunity to learn about the unique languages and cultures of China, Japan, and South Korea through immersive activities. Included will be improving cross cultural communication, and understanding the importance of global citizenship.
Time will be allocated to gaining an awareness and understanding of Aotearoa history as it relates to North Asia (China, Japan, South Korea).
By the end of the tour students will be able to grasp the wider significance of learning a North Asia language (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) as well as the links to business between NZ and North Asia.

Eligibility:
* Students must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
* Current language learners of either Chinese, Japanese, or Korean in years 11-13 at a registered New Zealand high school
* Available for travel from 16 – 20 September, 2022
