2022 Korean Language Class Fund Information
The Korean Education Centre is a government organisation representing the Korean Ministry of Education in New Zealand. Since the centre was established in 2012, we have been promoting and supporting the Korean language and culture to schools in New Zealand. KEC has also collaborated with the CAPE(an MOU partner of KEC), which the NZ government has funded, to support the Korean language classes in NZ schools.
KEC supports NZ schools running the Korean classes as below:
-KEC provides funds for NZ schools to run Korean classes.
If necessary, KEC supports dispatching Korean teachers.
-KEC holds Korean Festivals at schools. Experiencing Korean Culture is such as traditional Korean games,
Taekwondo, and K-pop dance.
-KEC supports Korean resources. For instance, we donate some selected Korean books to NZ schools to boost students' academic and cultural interests.
-KEC presents the Korean Language Award. The best learners of the year at each school will get the Award.
The Korean Education Centre anticipates that many schools are interested in having Korean classes in 2022.
